Laurantian Rutabaga Seed
Laurentian Rutabaga seed is an open-pollinated variety with uniform round roots that are best harvested at 4 to 5 inches. This is a staple on our Thanksgiving table and this variety is one of the best. It's not woody and grows to softball size dependably. I plant the seed 3 inches apart and when it is time to thin I eat the small rutabagas roasted with butter & olive oil. Laurentian is really a good variety for eating steamed or fried and stores well in root cellar 4 to 6 months. 100 seeds per pack plant a 15-foot row.
