Perfection 326 Shell Peas Seed
Perfection 326 shell peas seed are open pollinated. (66 days) The vines reach 3' to 4' feet tall, are sturdy, drought tolerant and wilt resistant. A good table variety, they are also grown for canning purposes because they hold their color and texture well. The vines showed great health and vigor that translated into an abundant crop of 3½" pods, usually with 7–8 peas each. They hold color and texture well and are moderately sweet, meaty and only a bit starchy.
Early Perfection 326 is sturdier and more drought tolerant than the original Perfection. This strain dates back to the 1950s.

Pea Culture: Peas are legumes with moderate fertility requirements. Avoid excess nitrogen: they can fix their own. Use a legume inoculant as an aid. They prefer cool, moist weather and dislike dry heat. Sow as early as ground can be worked for best yields. All peas produce more when they are staked; varieties over 2½' must be supported. Use either trellis or chicken wire. Install support at planting time to avoid disturbing seedlings. Plant 8-10 seeds/ft on each side of supports in double rows. Set supports for rows 3' apart (5' if very tall varieties).
